How To Install you eSIM using QR Code?

 

 

To ensure you can start using the data when you need it, we advise installing the eSIM as soon as you buy the plan. Keep in mind that installing is different from activation process. The expiration of the plan does not begin with the installation of your eSIM; it begins only when you activate the plan.

Installing your eSIM data plan can be done in a Few different ways But Airhubapp made very effort to make it simple as possible. There are two ways to install your eSIM, as there all eSIM providers.

 

1. Install Esim via QR code (recommended)

The Suggested method for installing your eSIM is by scanning the QR code we supplied in the mail and in- app instructions (if you aren’t using Airhubapp, most providers will give you the instructions)

• The QR code may be printed or displayed another screen
• iOS Should navigate to Settings> Cellular (or mobile data)> Add cellular Plan (or Add Data plan)> Scan QR code
• Using Google pixel on Android: Go to Settings> Network & Internet > SIMs> Add more> Download eSIM> scan QR code
• On Android (Samsung)- Go to Settings> Connections > SIM card manager > Add mobile plan> Scan QR code

 

2. Installing eSIM via Manual Input

Although it is not advised, there may be times when you wish to manually input the eSIM installation. On some Android and iOS devices, this is feasible.

• Simply select "Enter Details manually" from the bottom menu under Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan.
• Enter the data specified in your Airhubapp in-app purchase email or instruction email:

1.  Address Activation Code for SM-DP+
2. Confirmation Code is not necessary, so ignore it.

 

How to Activate your eSIM?

 

 

When you are ready to use the plan, simply go to your Phone settings and Turn the Airhubapp eSIM on:

• On iOS Settings > Cellular > Turn the AirhubApp eSIM 

• On Android Go to Settings> Network and internet> SIMs> Tap the Airhubapp eSIM > Toggle use eSIM

• Make sure your Data Roaming is enabled

• Make Sure to select the Airhubapp eSIM as the “Default” or “Primary” for Cellular Data

• Keep your home SIM or Phone number set as the "Default" or "Primary" number for calls and texts so that you can still make and receive calls to your home mobile when you are travelling.

Will my eSIM work right away?

A supported network, or any of the supported networks must be connected before the majority of eSIMs will activate at the destination. On the other hand, certain eSIM will activate immediately after installation, independent of the location.

 

Which information does the QR code contain?

Each QR code contain the profile of the subscriber’s number i.e., PIN, PUK, Phone number, and Serial number.

 

Should I Install my eSIM before travelling?

We advise putting your eSIM on your device 1-2 days before you depart on your vacation because you'll need a reliable Wi-Fi (or data) connection to finish the installation process. If there are any connectivity issues, you can then ensure that it is installed correctly.

Can you use your eSIM more than once?

The same eSIM cannot be installed on multiple devices, sorry.
